Renaud is co-founder and partner at Agilian, a contract manufacturing firm in Dongguan. He has more than 15 years of experience working on the ground in China.

He moved to Hong Kong in 2005, where he worked in a trading company for 18 months. He then started a service company (Sofeast) and he helped hundreds of companies build products that are on quality, reliable & durable, and safe.

He also co-founded China Manufacturing Consultants, which helped manufacturers improve their performance. He worked with local SMEs and for larger companies (Air Liquide, Electrolux, Toyota…). He is still engaged as an advisor.

He loves sharing his experiences & learning and he has been blogging consistently since 2009. He was quoted in Bloomberg, the Wall Street Journal, New Yorker, and the Los Angeles Times.

He studied business, including an MBA from Wake Forest University. He is an ASQ-certified quality engineer & reliability engineer, and a certified ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 lead auditor.
